Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operation of billet ovens and performs all operations pertaining to coating, grinding, conditioning and shot blast of all parts
- Operates robots for die lube and furnace loading operations
- Operates Press Controls to turn on, check system, initiate press set-up load dies and tooling into press and remove tooling after forge run is complete
- Instructs manipulators in presenting parts for inspection and fully runs/transfers parts
- Install, adjust, and remove dies, synchronizing cams, forging rams and stop guides, using overhead cranes or other hoisting devices, and hand tools. Metallurgy to effectively communicate with other forge team members to ensure all team members are in sync when performing forge runs
- Set up, operate, or tend presses and forging machines to perform hot or cold forging by flattening, straightening, bending, cutting, piercing, or other operations to taper, shape, or form metal
- Position and move super alloy billets and work pieces within a die to compress and shape billets to form jet aircraft engine components
- Complete accurate die stack assemblies and planning based on successful mastery of all other major job operations
- Completes Data Entry utilizing multiple internal computer software systems to enter furnace transfer times and other data integral to the progression of parts throughout the facility and ensure complete data for quality review before final submission to the customer
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.
