QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Degree in Food Science.

 0 -3 years’ experience in Food processing.  Thorough knowledge of R&D, Managing Product Development, engineering and manufacturing in Food & Beverage.

 Project management and personnel management.

 Strong analytical skills in applied research and commercial testing with experience in field research studies and product development trails.

 Strong R&D background in food science industry.

 Demonstrated technical expertise research and development and proven accomplishments in leading a highly skilled R&D team.  Outstanding communication, leadership, personal initiative, and computer skills.

The vacancy is in Chennai Food based Manufacturing and Marketing company having qualified research & development laboratory with an art of Manufacturing and packaging facility. We are in a position to produce, deliver and market our ingenious products acknowledging quality and value for money to the customer needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and technicians. Evaluates progress and results obtained, and implements changes to achieve objectives.

 Responsible for project management of new product development, and new process development.

 Works with operations to develop new processes / procedures and ensure that product development efforts are compatible and beneficial to the manufacturing capabilities.

 Establishes and monitors the projects pipeline review and prioritization system for the R&D department.

 Identifies and monitors new technological developments for applications in the food casings industry.

 Manages the scale-up and industrialization of new products.  Conducts pre-launch productions of these new products and processes in collaboration with the production team.

 Responsible for implementation of new products into the field.  Manages department budget and expenditures.
